Dear friend,

During this season, South Eastern Community Connect is more committed than ever to the wellbeing of our clients, volunteers, staff and families.

Your safety and protection is our highest priority.

At the same time, we’re doing everything we can to stay connected.

This means continuing to provide support and services – in some form – to our valued clients.

We’re still here for you.

At this stage, we are continuing to offer:

  1. Support for children at our before- and after-school centres
  2. Individual support for people at home who are elderly
  3. Aged care packages and case management
  4. Grocery shopping and fruit and delivery services for seniors
  5. Connecting volunteers with the needs of the community
  6. Virtual activities for playgroup families and young people
  7. Casework support for families and youth
  8. Zoom-based Drumming for Wellbeing workshops
  9. Generalised telephone support and live-streamed videos
  10. Printing of resources and form-filling support for the general community
  11. Online mental health support and advice
  12. Take-home art therapy packs, available at The SECC Community Hub in Mascot.
  13. Grocery support in partnership with OzHarvest.

For the safety of all involved, we’ve had to cancel our social groups and bus trips for older people.

We will also need to restrict the services operating out of The Cottage Dementia Day Centre.

We have also now closed our offices to the public and will be limiting face-to-face contact.

However, we will maintain communication with all our clients wherever possible via phone calls, Zoom chats, Skype or Facebook, depending on their access to these mediums.

Here at South Eastern Community Connect, we are following the recommended protocols for protecting all clients, staff, volunteers, and the general public from infection or contagion by the epidemic/ pandemic.

SECC will facilitate, through its policies and procedures, strategies designed to reduce risks and comply with all directions from authorised public health officers and recognised medical authorities.

Until we resume our regular services, we will keep supporting you however we can.

Take care,

The SECC team

P.S. Remember – we’ve got your back. We are still here for you. Just call us on (02) 8338 8506 or (02) 7903 0607 if you need a friend.
