Suggestions for Improvement

  • More creative activities (e.g. painting murals): Great idea! We are actively applying for grants to support such initiatives.
  • Expand food options from People’s Pantry: We strive to provide essential food assistance. Expanding options requires additional funding and resources, which we’re actively seeking through grants and donations.
  • Offer gift vouchers for those struggling: Gift vouchers are a wonderful idea, but our limited budget restricts us from implementing this. We are continuing to explore potential partnerships or sponsorships.
  • Host open forum days for community engagement: We recognise the value of community engagement and are working on new partnerships.
  • Introduce hands-on activities (e.g. painting pottery, sports): Hands-on activities enrich lives. We’re seeking grants, volunteers, and partnerships to make this possible.
  • Provide a computer room for teaching various skills: We acknowledge the importance of digital literacy. Limited resources hinder this initiative; we’re exploring potential partnerships.
  • Exercise programs (e.g. weights, cardio workouts): Fitness programs enhance wellbeing and we’re seeking external funding and partnerships.
  • Up-skilling office and retail work training: Vocational training is valuable. We’re collaborating with local organisations to see what we can accomplish together.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

  • More relaxed atmosphere, less formal: We strive for a welcoming environment and invite you to chat with our team about ideas for a more relaxed approach/ atmosphere.
  • Differential email communications (e.g. filtering irrelevant content): We’ll explore cost-effective solutions and seek to only send relevant information. You may also unsubscribe from emails if the content no longer suits you.
  • Translation services for non-English speakers (e.g. Pantry programs): Translation services are crucial. We’re doing what we can to use Google Translate when language barriers are an issue.
  • Accommodating diverse needs (e.g. weekly home help): We prioritise supporting diverse needs within our resource capabilities but are limited by our current funding.

Sustainability and Community Involvement

  • Encourage reusable cups and reduce waste: Sustainability matters; we’re implementing eco-friendly practices through recycling but cannot reuse cups through to resource limitations.
  • Accept second-hand donations: We appreciate donations, but storage and processing capacity are limited for second-hand items.
  • Minimise operating costs and increase sustainability: We continually review operations.
  • Partner with local community members for funding and support: Partnerships are vital; we’re actively engaging.
