Multicultural NSW has issued strict instructions for the community to stay at home unless it is absolutely essential to leave the house.
The only reasons you can leave home include shopping for food, medical care, exercise, or essential work and education. You can leave home to get a COVID test or get vaccinated.
Multicultural NSW is working closely with community leaders to disseminate information and are asking everyone to help stop the spread.
Here is Dr Alvina Ng from the Emergency Department at Auburn Hospital speaking in Mandarin:
You can hear Community Leaders in many languages urging our communities to stay home by visiting this link.
Remember the guidelines:
- Masks must be worn when indoors, except at home.
- You should not have visitors to your house. This includes family members outside of your household.
- Everyone in your family should get tested if unwell, or they are a close or casual contact.
Social media resources about the stay at home orders, including no visitors in the home are available in almost 60 languages here.
