South Eastern Community Connect’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), held this week, was the 40th in the organisation’s history.

A cake was cut in celebration of SECC’s 40th anniversary, and two new board members were announced.

The winner of this year’s Maisie Foster Volunteer Award was also named.

Attendees heard reports from chairperson Beverley Martin, treasurer Graham Hawkes, and CEO Kate Melhopt.

Two retiring board members, Greg Killeen and Graham Hawkes, were thanked for their years of service on the board, and two new board members were welcomed – Kathy Forrest and Melissa Green.

Attendees watched the newly produced video by Sprinkler Media on South Eastern Community Connect’s SMOOSH service before enjoying a light lunch including the celebratory cake.

Iris Knight was awarded the Maisie Foster Volunteer Award for her varied volunteering roles, including shopping assistant, “grandparent” support at the intergenerational playgroup, and her dedicated service baking cakes for the Beaconsfield lunch group.
