It’s Refugee Week, the annual celebration of the contribution that refugees make to Australian society.

Sophia Morris has rounded up three ways to enjoy the week now most activities have moved online.

1. Watch a film that highlights refugee stories.

A bunch of documentaries and short films have been made available to watch for free online. I can recommend Watan, a documentary about life for Syrians living in a Jordanian refugee camp.

SBS On Demand has also curated a selection of films from its collection.

2. Listen to a podcast.

This is a great list of podcast series and one-off episodes that showcase refugee stories and issues both in Australia and around the world.

3. Participate in an online event.

There are plenty of online-only events happening this week, including cooking demonstrations, talks, and children’s book readings.

The full list can be found here.
